The Egyptians, the first ever intelligent writings and thousands of different art across Africa

Africa is a truly amazing world of wonders, artists, animals and history. The past has captured the imaginations of many people across the planet, and Africa offers some that cannot be rivalled.

The first recorded detailed writings in Africa were those written by the Egyptians in 4000 BC. It was really striking how much acumen they had acquired over the years, the managed to demonstrate their abilities by constructing structures of massive proportion that have lasted for thousands of years. If you take the first detailed writings of the world to be the sign of the first civilization, then the Egyptians were at the top of the list. Even before this, over 100,000 years ago, the plains of Africa were very different. It also became clear how old the origin of Homo sapiens actually was, scientists discovered many fossils to suggest that people from the same gene pool as us were around.

The African Countryside was as said, very different to the desolate plains it is now. At the end of the Ice Age about 10,500 years ago, the Sahara desert was actually a very lush green meadow of land. This sort of area would have meant that growing livestock and grain would have been easy. Because of the positioning of Africa on our Globe, the area begun to dry up and Desertification took place. These people would then have had to migrate to plains with more grassland. By 3000 BC some civilizations across the world but specifically in Africa had started domesticating animals like horses and donkeys to do farming work.

Africa has been celebrated for its completely unique art. Not to be found anywhere else on the planet, this completely diversified style of arts all over Africa is of amazing quality and difference. With so many peoples and different cultures everywhere you visit you will find a different type of art. It is very clear however, that all across North and South Africa the sculpture of people was spread. This generalisation of art is a representation of a loved one, a dead friend or family member or of somebody of great importance.
